Speakers not working
Hey guys,
Since about two days ago my speakers have quit working. They are plugged into the same port, and plugged in all the way. I checked for driver's for the following... under System Devices...High Definition Audio controller Under sound controllers... RealTek High Definition Audio but Windows says my drivers are up to date. Headphones aren't plugged in so that is not an issue. I tried unplugging the speakers and restarting my computer and switching my default speakers to the one's in my monitor...I was going through configuring them and playing the test tone....sound only came out of the right speaker. Is there something wrong with my sound card? It is weird how they just stopped working on my computer. The speakers aren't broken because they work fine when my iPOD is plugged into them. I'm not a huge computer nerd so I'm not sure what else could be causing an issue. Any help is greatly appreciated because I need audio for my chats for school so this is a huge issue. Thanks guys. |

Are they muted? Seriously, happens more than you'd think
![]() If not, try to remove/reinstall the RealTek drivers. They're kind of flaky, and reinstalling is easier than actually fixing the problems. |

Nope not muted I checked like 7 times lol
I uninstalled and re-installed the the driver that shows up in add/remove programs, and that didn't fix the problem. |
