This article is blowing my fucking mind

http://www.world-mysteries.com/Walter_Cruttenden_1.htm

The idea is that societal evolution is neither linear nor forward-moving... rather, it is cyclical and possibly circular, such that there are times of great improvement and advancement, ultimately leading to a Golden Age. However, the Golden Age can not be sustained and we eventually find ourselves beginning the next part of the cycle, regressing back to the "iron age," as it is referred to by the Greeks (see picture).

Ancient secrets and relics, such as the Baghdad Battery, Atlantis, and Stone Henge lead us to believe this theory might actually hold some truth. The article points out that there were TREMENDOUS scientific, mathematical, engineering, and astronomical accomplishments... many of these were far superior to what we see in the Dark Ages, which occurred within the last millennium. How could civilization have been so capable thousands of years ago?

Think about where we're at nowadays... nanotechnology, medical marvels, the internet as a whole, and harnessing the energies of the sun, wind, and other forms of nature. This all starts to make a lot of sense, right? There is a lot of mention of the collective conscious (something Carl Jung also dealt with rather extensively), this idea that we're more than individuals... in fact, we're all connected in some cosmic way which we can't quite comprehend. This could help to explain a lot of religion, mythology, and many of the mysteries we can't seem to wrap our heads around.

It just seems like a lot of astrological flim-flam that wraps itself with loose facts. I don't really buy it. Some of the stuff they said is interesting, but... nothing really convinced me

I'm suprised that this could ever blow anyones mind. Welcome to known history?

Its not a constant upward climb, the best will fail the worst will eventually achieve and so on.

History teach us the realities of this universe.
Rise and falls of civilizations is one fact but they could not destroyed the knowledge of mankind as a whole. Men progressed day by day and now we are at the edge of this evolution.
Now one can easily distinguish the "Right" and "wrong" in this progress of mankind.
An easy definition could be that
If our powers / science / technology is for the well being of mankind, then it will lead us to success or to a good end. Otherwise, this erena will also last one day.
